Beyond the Surface: Group Show Geneva
Conceived as a journey through artistic techniques, the show invites viewers to wander through the making of identities.
This exhibition brings together gallery artists alongside invited artists to explore identity as a shifting and evolving process. Conceived as a journey through artistic techniques, the show invites viewers to wander through the making of identities.
Each artist transforms material, gesture and medium into a personal language. Painting, photography, textile, drawing and installation become tools of self-construction. Intimacy, memory, the body and perception shape works on display.
The gaze, present, blurred, concealed or absent runs throughout the exhibition. Techniques act as extensions of experience and emotion. Identities emerge, fragment and reassemble across the space.
The exhibition offers a sensitive dialogue between visibility and concealment. A collective exploration of how the self is shaped through artistic practice.
With works by Amit Berman, Norbert Bisky, Pierre Dumaire, Alina Frieske, Maryam Khosrovani, Tobias Nussbaumer and Vanessa Safavi.
