Zurich – DONE!: Anna Fasshauer

To celebrate Anna Fasshauer joining the gallery, Fabienne Levy is pleased to present the German artist's first solo exhibition in Zurich, DONE!
Anna Fasshauer’s practice is rooted in the physical encounter between body, tool, and material. The hammer, the most archaic of instruments, becomes both an extension of the artist and a metaphor of transformation. Each blow transfers anger, energy, and willpower into the work, turning destruction into creation. Through this rhythm of strikes, Fasshauer sculpts resilience into form.
The welding machine continues this choreography of transformation. Between metal and electrode, an electric arc burns, binding fragments together through heat and light. The welded seam, a silver line of fusion, becomes both scar and connection, a trace of violence and care.
DONE! marks a point of arrival and assertion: through repetition, pressure, and heat, form is not only shaped- it is forged into being.
