Là où rien ne devait pousser: Elsa Wagnières – Prix HEAD x Galerie

For the HEAD Gallery Prize, Fabienne Levy invites HEAD (Haute école d'art et de design, Geneva) graduate Elsa Wagnières to take over the Lausanne gallery. This exhibition is an immersive journey through a fictional ecosystem where twelve families of hybrid creatures inhabit a world of ashes, light, and organic sounds.

Inspired by the artist’s 2024 fictional bestiary Deep Vermins, the installation explores our dependence on technology and its impact on the environment. Through a pathway blending trails, sounds, ashes and light, visitors are gradually drawn into in a futuristic ecosystem where life has learned to adapt and reinvent itself in landscapes scarred by ecocide.
