Overview
Space Invasion 3, A platform for visual art students

For Fabienne Levy, culture should be accessible to everyone, and art should be a catalyst for social change, inviting everyone to see the world with a new perspective. Launched in 2020, Space Invasion is a platform for students from visual arts schools in Switzerland, inviting selected candidates to exhibit in a gallery space. This is an opportunity for art students to familiarize themselves with exhibiton set-up, work pricing, and communicating their work to the public. All sales proceeds go to the students, and the gallery covers part of the production costs of the works. Space Invasion aims not only to give a voice to young artists but also to engage the public in meaningful dialogues about the issues of our time.

For the third edition of Space Invasion, Fabienne Levy is showcasing 27 artists across both gallery spaces in Lausanne and Geneva under a new, original theme from 9 July until 7 September 2024.

THEME: Unprecedented Times

Unprecedented times refer to periods or situations that are exceptionally unique, with no previous examples or parallels in history. This term is often used to describe events or circumstances that are highly unusual, unpredictable, and have far-reaching impacts, making them difficult to manage or understand based on past experiences. They encapsulate periods marked by significant, unfamiliar challenges and changes, where traditional responses may be inadequate, and innovative solutions are often required.
