This artwork is part of the series "Hold dear", which explores processes of desire and self growth as generated by social media. 'Hold dear‘ is a digital collage created with images from a variety of selfies and commercial images from Instagram. Through modifications and replication, new surroundings are assembled using individual small cutouts. The figures are about to reach out for something that dissolves into vagueness or melts away under their touch.
