In this series, Mattania Bösiger explores the subtle interactions between digital and physical realities, playing with the shifting boundaries that separate them. Through the meticulous manipulation of modelled objects, he alters the viewer’s perception and questions the distinction between the real and the virtual. Everyday objects—often existing only as digital files—are reinterpreted and materialised as pictorial illusions. Through a sophisticated staging of light and shadow, they acquire a tangible, unsettling, and enigmatic presence, giving rise to works that challenge our relationship to images, materiality, and new technologies.
